Bengaluru में जुटे founders, investors और policymakers
भारत के startup ecosystem के सामने अब केवल तेजी से बढ़ने और funding जुटाने का सवाल नहीं है। Artificial Intelligence कारोबार को किस तरह बदल रहा है, startups sustainable profits कैसे हासिल करेंगे और investors नई-age कंपनियों की valuation को किस आधार पर देखेंगे—ये सवाल अब ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण होते जा रहे हैं।
इन्हीं मुद्दों को केंद्र में रखते हुए Moneycontrol Startup Conclave 2026 का तीसरा edition 26 सितंबर को Bengaluru में आयोजित हो रहा है।
आधिकारिक event page के मुताबिक conclave में 10 से अधिक sessions, आठ घंटे से अधिक discussions और 50 से अधिक industry experts शामिल किए गए हैं।
इस साल आयोजन का मुख्य theme है:
“The Big Reset: AI Shift, Profitability, Valuation.”
यह theme उस बदलाव की ओर इशारा करता है जिसमें startup ecosystem का ध्यान केवल fundraising और तेजी से scale करने से हटकर sustainable economics, technology advantage और long-term value creation की ओर बढ़ रहा है।
PhonePe, Groww, Rapido और Skyroot जैसे बड़े नाम
Conclave में Indian startup ecosystem के कई जाने-पहचाने founders और business leaders शामिल हैं।
आधिकारिक agenda और speaker list के अनुसार इनमें PhonePe के founder & CEO Sameer Nigam, Groww के founder & CEO Lalit Keshre, Rapido के co-founder & CEO Aravind Sanka, Skyroot Aerospace के co-founder Naga Bharath Daka और Pixxel के co-founder Kshitij Khandelwal शामिल हैं।
AI ecosystem से Sarvam के co-founder Pratyush Kumar और Emergent के founder Mukund Jha भी agenda का हिस्सा हैं।
Deep-tech discussion में Ather Energy के co-founder Swapnil Jain, Skyroot Aerospace के Naga Bharath Daka, Pixxel के Kshitij Khandelwal और The ePlane Company के founder Prof. Satya Chakravarthy शामिल किए गए हैं।
Accel, Lightspeed और Elevation Capital के investors भी शामिल
Startup founders के साथ venture-capital industry के प्रमुख नाम भी conclave में भाग ले रहे हैं।
“All In: Where Marquee Funds are Placing their Bets” session में Accel के Prashanth Prakash, Elevation Capital के Mridul Arora और Lightspeed के Rahul Taneja शामिल हैं।
इस discussion का महत्व इसलिए बढ़ जाता है क्योंकि Indian startup funding environment पिछले कुछ वर्षों में बदल चुका है। Investors अब केवल user growth या headline valuation के बजाय capital efficiency, sustainable business models और profitability पर भी ज्यादा ध्यान दे रहे हैं।
Moneycontrol ने conclave से पहले प्रकाशित अपने analysis में इसी बदलाव को “growth-at-all-costs” approach से margins, cash flows और resilience की ओर बढ़ने के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया।
AI इस साल की सबसे बड़ी themes में
Artificial Intelligence conclave की प्रमुख themes में शामिल है।
“India's AI Unicorns: Models, Moats & the Race to Scale” session में Sarvam और Emergent के leaders भारत में AI companies के लिए technology differentiation और scale पर चर्चा करने वाले हैं।
Moneycontrol के मुताबिक AI अब केवल businesses के ऊपर जोड़ी जाने वाली technology layer नहीं रह गई है। सवाल यह है कि क्या AI companies को ऐसा sustainable competitive advantage दे सकता है जिसे competitors आसानी से दोहरा न सकें।
यह distinction महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि AI में investment बढ़ने के साथ investors के सामने यह तय करने की चुनौती भी है कि कौन-से business models वास्तव में durable हैं।
Deep Tech और Space पर भी नजर
Conclave का दायरा consumer internet और fintech तक सीमित नहीं है।
“Deep Tech: Building India’s Next Frontier” session में electric mobility, space technology और aviation से जुड़े entrepreneurs शामिल हैं। Ather Energy, Skyroot Aerospace, Pixxel और The ePlane Company से जुड़े leaders इस discussion का हिस्सा हैं।
यह India के startup landscape में एक व्यापक बदलाव को दर्शाता है—जहां software और consumer apps के साथ space, aerospace, semiconductors, advanced mobility और दूसरे deep-tech क्षेत्रों पर भी अधिक ध्यान दिया जा रहा है।
PhonePe के अगले दशक पर चर्चा
Fintech भी agenda का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है।
Sameer Nigam “PhonePe Turns 10: Charting the Next Decade” session का हिस्सा हैं, जिसमें PhonePe की अब तक की journey और आगे की दिशा पर चर्चा निर्धारित है।
इसके अलावा digital payments से जुड़ा एक महत्वपूर्ण policy और business question—UPI पर Merchant Discount Rate (MDR)—भी conclave के agenda में शामिल है।
“MDR is Here: Now Comes the Hard Part” session में BillDesk के founder और IAMAI chairperson MN Srinivasu, NPCI के Chief Product Officer Kunal Kalawatia और 3one4 Capital के founding partner Siddarth Pai शामिल हैं।
Quick Commerce की तेज दौड़ पर भी बहस
भारत में तेजी से बढ़ता instant-commerce ecosystem भी चर्चा में है।
“India Loves Quick: The Race for Instant Commerce” session में Slikk के Akshay Gulati, Swish के Aniket Shah, Pronto की Anjali Sardana और Stellaris Venture Partners के Rahul Chowdhri जैसे participants शामिल हैं।
यह discussion ऐसे समय हो रहा है जब convenience-driven consumer businesses के लिए speed एक बड़ा differentiator बन चुकी है, लेकिन उसके साथ unit economics, customer retention और sustainable expansion जैसे सवाल भी जुड़े हैं।
Startup से stock market तक का सफर
2026 conclave की एक और महत्वपूर्ण theme startups का public markets की ओर बढ़ना है।
Moneycontrol की 26 सितंबर की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक FY26 में 47 technology companies ने IPO किया, जो पिछले financial year की तुलना में 52% अधिक था।
इसी संदर्भ में “Startup Street to Dalal Street: Expectations Vs Reality” session रखा गया है, जिसमें ICICI Prudential AMC के CIO Sankaran Naren, Acko General Insurance के Varun Dua, Zerodha के Mohit Mehra और WeWork के Karan Virwani शामिल हैं।
यह discussion startup ecosystem के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव को सामने रखता है: private-market valuation हासिल करना और listed company के रूप में public-market investors की अपेक्षाओं पर खरा उतरना दो अलग चुनौतियां हैं।
Karnataka की startup भूमिका पर फोकस
Bengaluru में आयोजन होने के कारण Karnataka की startup और technology ecosystem में भूमिका भी agenda का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है।
Conclave की speaker list में Karnataka के Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development Minister MB Patil, Karnataka Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya और Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation के chairman Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda शामिल हैं।
सरकारी और policy discussions में Karnataka को AI, SaaS, biotechnology, deep tech, space और Global Capability Centres (GCCs) के hub के रूप में आगे बढ़ाने जैसे विषय शामिल हैं।
Indian startup ecosystem के लिए ‘Big Reset’ का क्या मतलब है?
इस साल के conclave की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात शायद किसी एक company या sector से ज्यादा इसका overall theme है।
भारत पहले ही unicorns, large-scale technology platforms और globally funded startups तैयार कर चुका है। अब ecosystem के सामने अगला सवाल यह है कि इनमें से कितनी कंपनियां profitable, resilient और long-lasting businesses बन सकती हैं।
Moneycontrol के Managing Editor और Network18 के Chief AI Officer–Editorial Operations Nalin Mehta ने conclave से पहले कहा कि अब सवाल केवल यह नहीं है कि भारत कितने startups बना सकता है या कितना capital आकर्षित कर सकता है, बल्कि यह भी है कि कितनी enduring और globally competitive companies बनाई जा सकती हैं।
इसीलिए AI, profitability और valuation को एक साथ रखना महत्वपूर्ण है। AI कंपनियों की cost structure और competitive advantage बदल सकता है; profitability यह तय करेगी कि growth कितनी sustainable है; और valuation यह दिखाएगी कि investors उस growth और future potential की कितनी कीमत लगाने को तैयार हैं।
Moneycontrol Startup Conclave 2026 इसी बदलते startup playbook को समझने की कोशिश कर रहा है।
