Sanyark Space को मिली $2 मिलियन की फंडिंग
भारत के तेजी से बढ़ते private space-tech ecosystem में एक और startup ने नई पूंजी हासिल की है। Sanyark Space ने $2 मिलियन की pre-seed funding जुटाई है, जिसका इस्तेमाल कंपनी अपने NAV-COM satellite constellation और उससे जुड़ी underlying technology के विकास में करने की योजना बना रही है।
ET Education की 26 सितंबर 2026 की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, इस राउंड में Avaana ने $1.5 मिलियन, जबकि AUM Ventures ने $500,000 का निवेश किया।
यह फंडिंग केवल एक और satellite startup में निवेश नहीं है। Sanyark जिस तकनीक पर काम कर रही है, उसका लक्ष्य दो ऐसी क्षमताओं—navigation और communication—को एक ही LEO satellite infrastructure में जोड़ना है, जिन्हें पारंपरिक रूप से अलग-अलग satellite systems के जरिए उपलब्ध कराया जाता रहा है।
क्या बना रही है Sanyark Space?
Sanyark Space एक software-defined Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation विकसित कर रही है।
कंपनी के प्रस्तावित Navigation-Communication (NAV-COM) सिस्टम का उद्देश्य एक ही satellite architecture के जरिए precision positioning/navigation और secure communication उपलब्ध कराना है।
कंपनी इसे defence के साथ commercial applications के लिए भी विकसित कर रही है। संभावित उपयोगों में autonomous vehicles, drones, logistics, connected infrastructure, telecommunications और strategic systems जैसी जरूरतें शामिल हो सकती हैं।
हालांकि, इन applications को कंपनी की विकास योजना और लक्ष्यों के रूप में देखना जरूरी है। यह constellation अभी development stage में है और बड़े पैमाने पर operational commercial network के रूप में तैनात नहीं हुआ है।
NAV-COM क्यों अलग है?
आज navigation और satellite communication आम तौर पर अलग-अलग infrastructure पर निर्भर करते हैं।
Sanyark का विचार इन्हें एक ही constellation में जोड़ने का है।
कंपनी के co-founder Raghava Kundrapu ने The New Indian Express को बताया था कि autonomous vehicles, drones और connected infrastructure जैसी कई emerging applications को केवल यह जानना पर्याप्त नहीं होगा कि वे कहां हैं; उन्हें उस location और अन्य information को दूसरे systems के साथ communicate भी करना होगा।
Sanyark इसी convergence को अपने NAV-COM architecture की बुनियाद बना रही है।
कौन हैं Sanyark Space के founders?
Sanyark Space की स्थापना Raghava Kundrapu और Akhileshwar Reddy Peseke ने की है।
The New Indian Express के अनुसार, दोनों founders का ISRO से जुड़ा professional experience रहा है। Raghava ने बताया कि उन्होंने ISRO में करीब आठ वर्ष बिताए और 40 से अधिक missions में योगदान दिया। इसके बाद उन्होंने Deloitte में space-technology consultant के रूप में भी काम किया।
ET Education ने Raghava को Masters’ Union Cohort 3 का student और Akhileshwar Reddy को former ISRO scientist बताया है।
यह founder background महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि navigation और satellite communication जैसे क्षेत्रों में hardware, signal architecture और mission execution की तकनीकी जटिलता सामान्य software startup से काफी अलग होती है।
Precision navigation पर बड़ा दांव
Sanyark की technology strategy का एक प्रमुख हिस्सा Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) है।
GPS जैसे satellite navigation systems केवल maps और directions के लिए इस्तेमाल नहीं होते। Accurate timing signals telecom networks, power infrastructure, financial systems, aviation और defence सहित कई क्षेत्रों में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।
Sanyark का दावा है कि उसका LEO-based architecture अधिक precise और resilient navigation infrastructure विकसित करने में मदद कर सकता है।
कंपनी ने The New Indian Express को बताया कि वह centimetre-level positioning की दिशा में काम कर रही है। यह अभी कंपनी का तकनीकी लक्ष्य है; इसे व्यापक commercial deployment में हासिल की गई क्षमता के रूप में नहीं समझा जाना चाहिए।
पहले technology demonstration, फिर बड़ा constellation
Sanyark की योजना एक बार में सैकड़ों satellites लॉन्च करने की नहीं है।
जून 2026 में The New Indian Express को दिए इंटरव्यू में कंपनी ने कहा था कि उसका पहला technology-demonstration satellite अगले 12 महीनों में planned है। कंपनी ने 2027 के लिए दूसरा demonstration mission भी प्रस्तावित किया था।
पहला mission navigation और defence-related payloads पर केंद्रित रहने की योजना थी, जबकि दूसरे demonstration में integrated navigation और communication architecture को test करने का लक्ष्य बताया गया था।
जुलाई में The New Indian Express ने रिपोर्ट किया कि startup अपनी precision-positioning technology के लिए Technology Readiness Level 4 (TRL-4) तक पहुंच चुका था और मार्च 2027 तक 16U CubeSat launch का लक्ष्य रख रहा था।
ये timelines कंपनी की घोषित योजनाएं हैं और launch schedules तथा technology-development milestones में बदलाव संभव है।
30-40 satellites से शुरुआत, global constellation का लंबा लक्ष्य
Sanyark की घोषित roadmap इससे कहीं बड़ी है।
कंपनी ने कहा है कि successful demonstrations के बाद उसका शुरुआती operational constellation लगभग 30 से 40 satellites का हो सकता है, जिसका focus India, Middle East और South Asia पर होगा।
लंबी अवधि में startup ने 200 से 240 satellites के global constellation की परिकल्पना की है। कंपनी ने पहले operational constellation के deployment के लिए लगभग 2029-30 का लक्ष्य बताया है।
ये संख्या और समयसीमा वर्तमान deployment नहीं, बल्कि Sanyark द्वारा सार्वजनिक रूप से बताई गई future roadmap है।
भारत के spacetech sector में बढ़ रहा निवेश
Sanyark की funding ऐसे समय आई है जब भारतीय private spacetech ecosystem में venture capital activity बढ़ी है।
Mint ने सितंबर 2026 में Tracxn के आंकड़ों का हवाला देते हुए बताया कि भारतीय spacetech startups ने 2026 में उस समय तक $331 मिलियन जुटाए थे, जबकि पूरे 2025 में यह आंकड़ा $210 मिलियन था।
इससे संकेत मिलता है कि investors केवल launch vehicles और Earth observation तक सीमित नहीं हैं; navigation, communication और other satellite infrastructure भी investment themes के रूप में उभर रहे हैं।
$2 मिलियन के बाद आगे क्या?
यहां एक महत्वपूर्ण नया development भी है।
Mint की हालिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, Sanyark Space अब करीब $10 मिलियन की नई VC funding जुटाने की प्रक्रिया में है। रिपोर्ट में दो लोगों के हवाले से यह जानकारी दी गई और co-founder एवं CEO Raghava K. ने fundraising की पुष्टि की।
उन्होंने Mint को बताया कि प्रस्तावित पूंजी का इस्तेमाल एक satellite launch और तीन अतिरिक्त satellites के जरिए LEO-based PNT और communication technologies को demonstrate करने में किया जाएगा।
इसका अर्थ है कि $2 मिलियन का round Sanyark की funding journey का अंतिम चरण नहीं है। कंपनी को अपनी ambitious constellation योजना को hardware development, launches और orbital demonstrations में बदलने के लिए आगे भी पर्याप्त पूंजी की जरूरत होगी।
Sanyark के लिए असली परीक्षा अंतरिक्ष में होगी
$2 मिलियन की funding Sanyark को अपनी technology development आगे बढ़ाने के लिए शुरुआती संसाधन देती है, लेकिन satellite constellation business में fundraising केवल पहला चरण है।
अब मुख्य milestones होंगे—payload और satellite development पूरा करना, demonstration satellites को सफलतापूर्वक launch करना, orbit में navigation और communication capabilities को validate करना और उसके बाद commercial या strategic customers के लिए technology को scale करना।
यदि कंपनी अपनी घोषित roadmap पर आगे बढ़ती है, तो Sanyark भारत के उस emerging spacetech segment का हिस्सा होगी जो rockets या Earth-imaging के बजाय अगली पीढ़ी के navigation और communication infrastructure पर काम कर रहा है।
